This is a Vintage 1930s Duplex Motion Picture Industries Film Counter which came out of a Manhattan estate and it is in great display condition. It features a brass plaque which reads "Duplex Motion Picture Industries, No.-, Long Island City, N.Y." and it is a four digit mechanical counter with a spiral gear drive, the subject of Warner Brothers lawsuit (?), and through which the film rolls and tracks the film length. This hard-to-find counter likely dates back to the 1930s or earlier and now hosts revered Long Island Duplex Motion Picture provenance. It measures 5"x5"x10-1/2" and weighs 4 pounds.
