This is a Vintage 1930s Ward Leonard Vitrohm Theatrical Stage Dimmer which came out of a Manhattan estate and it is in good display condition. On the circular front plate it reads "Ward Leonard Electric Co., Mount Vernon, N.Y., U.S.A., Vitrohm Non Interlocking Dimmer." It is 110 volts with minimum wattage 1655 to maximum 2000. The brackets were designed so that it could be mounted on any wall so that there is an air space between the back and the wall for cooling purpose since these early dimmers heated up. It likely dates back to the 1930s or earlier, has a stunning look and is a rare and early theatrical artifact which measures 20" in diameter x 6" in depth and weighs 20 pounds.
