This is a Vintage 1928 Corcoran Tru-Cut Cheese Cutter which came out of a recent estate and it is in good looking condition. It was made by The Corcoran Mfg. Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio and features white porcelain over steel construction. It is Model B and has a patent number which corresponds with the year 1928. This particular unit features a steel blade which can be removed with three screws for sharpening and cleaning. It features a white porcelain base on which the cheese is placed which shows some chips or cracks which were painted white at some point and an automatic porcelain safety feature which blocks the blade until it comes down on the cheese. This early cheese cutter can be used for display and/or for slicing cheese. It measures 8"x13"x15" and weighs 18 pounds.
